The NELM Sustainable Project aims to improve the business strategy, practices and workplace improvement of the office in order to make them more sustainable.
The Project includes the participation of all employees which are divided into four different groups: Institutional, which goal is to study the principles of sustainability and corporate governance, to internalize them in the activities; Social Responsibility, which seeks to integrate the office to the community around through social actions and also adopt ethical and transparent conduct in dealings with customers and suppliers; Human Resources, which seeks to improve internal communication and decision-making processes, increasing the engagement of the employees; and the Environment, which aims at ensuring the rational use of resources and the adoption of strategies to reduce the impacts of actions on the office environment.
With this Project, NELM want to have a transformative role, giving its contribution to promoting sustainable development next to its employees and its network of relationships. In 2013, the firm joined the UN Global Compact, an initiative that seeks to mobilize the international business community for the adoption of core values in the areas of human rights, combating corruption, labor relations, environment and social responsibility.
